Text Chat Window

myKryptofon has the ability to allow you to text chat with members of your Contact list from within the program.  You have the ability to chat with one or more individuals both secure  and unsecured .  When you are in unsecured mode , the text chat message area will appear with a green border.

When you are in secured mode , the text chat message area and compose area will change to a red border.

You may secure a chat with the same or a different myKryptoKey utilized for securing voice calls.

You also have the ability to talk securely with one party, and securely text chat with another party, using the same or different keys.  Finally, you have the ability to open as many text chat windows as desired, each utilizing a different myKryptoKey.

Once a chat session is active, additional participants may be added to the chat session, in any of the following ways:

A Text Chat window is shown only when a chat is active.

Each Text Chat window has a unique number to identify that window.  The number is displayed under the window’s title bar.  The image above shows Text Chat 1, which is chat session #1. This identification is used when myKryptofon needs you to select from multiple open chat session windows.

Instant-on Encryption

When you start a chat with another myKryptofon, you can start the chat with the pad lock closed on your side.  In this mode, myKryptofon will verify that the person you're chating with has the same key.  If they do, myKryptofon on their side will automatically close the pad lock and will select that key.  If they do not, you will get an error message, and your chat message will not be sent.
