Sending an Auto-Key

When in a call, click the Auto-Key button  , to initiate the Auto-Key process.  The Auto-Key Transfer window will open.

 

 

In this window:

 

The window will change to the "in-progress" mode, while you wait for the recipients to accept the transfer.

 

 

Password Enter a password that the recipients will be required to enter, in order to receive the key.

 

After the Send button has been clicked, this field can not be changed.
Send - after selecting the key to be sent, and entering a password, click this button to begin the transfer.
Sending to This field shows the current recipient.  Since multiple participants may be in the current call, the name shown here will change as the transfer to each participant is initiated.
Progress For each recipient, this field will initially report that you are waiting for the recipient to accept the transfer.  Once they accept the transfer, this field will show a progress bar, indicating the amount of data that has been transferred.
Cancel – at any time, before or during the transfer, click this button to cancel the transfer.  The Auto-Key Transfer window will immediately be closed, and the transfer will be aborted.

 

When a recipient accepts the Auto-Key Transfer, the auto-key is sent from your myKryptofon to theirs, privately and securely, with AES 256-bit encryption. 


When the transfer has completed, if there is another participant in the call / conference, myKryptofon will automatically begin the transfer with the next participant.  When the key has been sent to all participants, this window will automatically close.


When the Auto-Key transfer to all participants in the current call / conference has completed, the Auto-Key will automatically be selected and activated for everyone in the call, thereby securing the call.
