|
The only prerequisites for making your first private / encrypted phone call,
is:
- The party you will be talking to will also need to own myKryptofon and
have an account from a service provider.
You and your colleague are now prepared to communicate with secure
and private voice and text chat.
To call your colleague
- Type your colleagues SIP address in the KeyPad tab or enter their
information in the Contacts tab.
- From the KeyPad tab, type their SIP address
and press the call
button in
the controls area.

- Or, from the Contacts tab, once you've added
them to your contact list, simply double click on their name. If they are
online, a green dot
will appear next to their name.

- You are now talking over the network with a
normal Voice over IP (VOIP) call. Notice the green highlighted box in the Call
Center / Conference Center area. This indicates that the call is connected and
is in normal VOIP mode.

Now let's encrypt the call.
- In the Secured Call Area, click the Auto-Key
button

- The Auto-Key window will open, requiring
you to enter a password. If you have not already told your
colleague the password, do so now.

- After the password is entered, click the Send
button:

- Your colleague will see a slightly different
Auto-Key window:

- Your colleague must enter the password and then
accept the Auto-Key by clicking the receive button
.

- In a moment,
- a single-session key will have been generated,
- transferred to your colleague, and
- activated in both your myKryptofon and your
colleague’s myKryptofon.
- Your Secured Call Area will now look like this:

Your colleague's Secured Call Area will look the same.
- When you now look at the Call Center /
Conference Center area, you will notice the red highlighted box in the Call
Center / Conference Center area. The red box indicates the call is connected
and is private and secure, utilizing AES 256-bit encryption.
