Controls Area

The Controls Area provides the controls to start, manage, and end a voice call with myKryptofon.

The Call button has two functions:

  1. Initiate a call
    • Click this button before or after dialing a phone number on the KeyPad tab.
    • Click this button after typing a VOIP/SIP address in the KeyPad tab.
    • Click this button after selecting a contact in the Contacts tab.
  2. Answer an incoming call
The Do Not Disturb button prevents incoming calls and text chat messages.  If your VOIP/SIP Server account has voice mail, incoming calls will be forwarded to voice mail.
The Mute button will mute your microphone in a voice call or conference.
The Hold button will place a voice call or conference on hold.
The End Call button will end a voice call or conference.
The Microphone slider bar adjusts the volume of your microphone.
The Speaker slider bar adjusts the volume of your speakers.

Instant-on Encryption

When you call another myKryptofon, you can start the call with the pad lock closed on your side.  In this mode, myKryptofon will verify that the person you're calling has the same key.  If they do, when they answer, myKryptofon on their side will automatically close the pad lock and will select that key.  If they do not, you will get an error message, and the call will not be placed.
