VOIP calls need to have a network internet connection whether at work or at home. You will also need a microphone and speaker for voice communications.
To make a secure and private encrypted call, you and your colleague will need to be communicating with myKryptofon. You both received an account when you ordered. You and your colleague are now prepared to communicate with secure and private voice, chat, and file transfer utilizing myKryptoKey.
You're now ready to go.
Making Your First VOIP Call
You can either enter your colleagues SIP addressed in the Keypad tab, or enter their information in the Contacts tab.
From the KeyPad tab, type their SIP address (e.g.

)and press the call button
If you have your colleague in the Contacts tab, simply double click on their name. If they are online, a green dot will appear next to their name.
You are now talking over the network. Notice the green highlighted box in the Call Center / Conference Center area.
This indicates that the call is connected and is in normal VOIP mode, UNSECURED.
In the Secured Call Area, click the Auto-Key button. This will start an exchange or a myKryptoKey between you and your colleague. This is necessary to encrypt the call.
The Auto-Key window will open showing the status of a key exchange.
Your colleague will see a slightly different Auto-Key window with their name in the window.
Your colleague must accept the Auto-Key by clicking the receive button.
Once complete, the lock graphic Secured Call Area has changed from to .
Your Secured Call Area will now show a red ring around it and indicates the call has been uniquely secured with DOD standard encryption.
The key generated is for a single use, and will be deleted when you exit myKryptofon. While in the call, it may be used for securing chat and file transfer.
